Terms & Conditions
This is a draft written to accurately describe how the Rovo app actually works today. It is not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer before this goes live for real customers, couriers and businesses.
Last updated: 30 September 2026. By creating an account or using Rovo, you agree to these terms.
The service
Rovo connects people who want to send a package (customers) with people willing to deliver it (couriers), and lets businesses run their own delivery operation on Rovo's platform under their own brand. Rovo is the platform connecting both sides — couriers are not Rovo employees.
Accounts
- You must give accurate information when signing up, and keep your password private. You are responsible for anything done from your account.
- Couriers must pass document verification (driver's licence, vehicle registration, NIN) before accepting jobs.
- We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used fraudulently, or puts someone's safety at risk.
Orders and delivery
- A customer sets the pickup/drop-off and what is being sent; a courier accepts the job at the quoted price, or at a price they bid, depending on how the order was placed.
- The delivery is confirmed by the receiver's 4-digit code. Never share this code with anyone before you have the package in hand.
- Cancelling an order that has already been paid for refunds the amount to your Rovo wallet, not your original payment method, unless stated otherwise at cancellation.
- Bid orders are cash-only: the accepted bid replaces the original quoted price.
Payments and wallets
- Card and bank transfer payments are processed by Paystack. Rovo takes a commission from each delivered order, shown in your business's settings.
- Wallet balances are held for you to use on future orders or, for couriers, withdraw to a bank account.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Rovo to send anything illegal, dangerous, or that the courier hasn't been told about.
- Treat couriers and customers with respect. Abusive behaviour, including through in-app chat, can lead to account suspension.
- The SOS button is for real emergencies during a delivery. In a life-threatening situation, call the emergency services (112 in Nigeria) first.
Liability
Rovo facilitates the connection between customers and couriers but is not the courier itself. Optional insurance can be added to a delivery; without it, Rovo's liability for a lost or damaged package is limited to what is reasonable and provided for under Nigerian law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
